GrC 322 - Advanced Digital Typography: "Logo Design: Zero Waste Comp 1"
This was a logo design for a “zero waste” project established by a student at Cal Poly. She requested that my Advanced Typography class be the ones to submit various logos. Mine did not actually win, but it was definitely recognized as one of the top choices. The concept of this logo was to implement a feeling of tradition in recycling, yet give a new and unique feel to it. I emphasized the earth and trees with the simple leaf side of the circle. On the other side of the circle is arrows much like the traditional recycling logo, yet they stress that they are coming from the earth and going back to the earth. I felt this represented the “zero waste” concept very well.
