GrC 322 - Advanced Digital Typography: "Logo Design: Zero Waste Comp 2"
This was a second logo design for a “zero waste” project established by a student at Cal Poly. She requested that my Advanced Typography class be the ones to submit various logos. Mine did not actually win, but it was definitely recognized as one of the top choices. The concept of this logo was designed to be very simple. It was acclaimed by both my lecture and lab instructors. The middle design is suppose to be a very dynamic looking "0". The font used was Helvetica Neue Light. This was an interesting choice since for years Helvetica was used as a default san serif font. I felt that this particular version was very beautiful, simple, and sophisticated. In the end, I'm sure this choice probably wasn't picked as a winner because it was probably a bit too corporate feeling for the campaign.
