GrC 439 - Book Design Technology: To Kill a Mockingbird
This was a project that required the students of the class to create a limited edition book in a span of approximately five weeks. I chose one of my all-time favorite books To Kill a Mockingbird. The book was created using Fox River 70 pound EverGreen Ivory Vellum Text while the endpapers were homemade papers provided by Butterfly Binding. The main typeface chosen for the book was Adobe Garamond Pro. The final block was perfect bound and placed into a lamb skin leather bound casing. The embossed mockingbird on the cover was created by hand.
